Life Coaching
Life coaching is about helping people create and achieve personal goals. Within the field of life coaching there are also numerous specialty niches such as: parenting, relationships, transition, health and wellness, writing and publishing etc. that can help you develop specific expertise in a chosen area.
Our particular focus in life coaching is helping people achieve their existential potential. Writer Parker Palmer expresses our thinking in this area when he said:
The life I am living is not the same as the
life that wants to live in me.
We help people discover that life that wants to live in you. Some of the questions that we focus on are:
- What is your personal purpose or reason for being is?
- What do you really value and are you living congruently with your values?
- What do you deeply say Yes! to?
- What do you want out of your life?
- What do you need to help you get there?
Just in Time Coaching
Many times we don't know what it is that we need to know until we are in the midst of a situation. Coaching is an ideal way to get collaborative support and learning as you need it. In the appreciative coaching relationship you will discover and develop your own unique strengths and ways of not only meeting the challenges of daily life but exploring and developing your personal potential.
Coaching is not Psychotherapy
Note: Coaching is not an alternative to psychotherapy. In the coaching process we describe some of the differences between psychotherapy and coaching. We do not provide psychotherapy by telephone.
